Mission

Salem 400+ commemorates Salem’s quadricentennial while acknowledging the preexisting indigenous community and explores the opportunities and connections of Salem’s multifaceted history while crafting a vision for current and future generations.

Event Guidelines

Guidelines for events consist of a few simple criteria that revolve around the goals & themes of the commemoration and can be anything from a lecture or tour to a full-scale event.

  • Salem 400+ partners may submit events and programs.
  • They can be existing events that manifest the themes and goals of the Salem 400+ commemoration in the year 2026.
  • New events can also be created by partners, especially for the anniversary.
  • All approved events & programs will be part of the year-long Salem 400+ Official calendar for 2026 and will appear wherever calendar listings are placed.

It can take up to 2 weeks for an application to go through the application process.

All applications must be approved BEFORE they appear on the Salem 400+ Events Calendar.
