Salem 400 Mascot Naming
The City of Salem invites Salem community members to vote for the name of the Salem 400+ mascot! Voting is open until 11:59pm on December 31! The names below were submitted by Salem schoolchildren in grades 3-8. The cat image was created by Salem artist Karen Hallion, and is inspired by Hanepyon, the rabbit mascot of Ota, Japan, Salem’s Sister City! It will appear throughout Salem 400+ programming to engage with kids and help get them excited about 2026 and Salem 400+.
