Disability Pride Flag Raising

Mayor Dominick Pangallo and the City of Salem invite you to join in the first annual City of Salem Flag Raising Ceremony celebrating Disability Pride Month on Thursday, July 9, 2026, at 4:00 pm, at Salem City Hall (93 Washington Street, City Council Chambers, 2nd Floor, Salem, MA 01970). There is an accessible entrance at the rear of the building, and an elevator to reach the second floor.
Disability Pride Month is observed every July to celebrate disability identity, culture, and leadership, and to mark the anniversary of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) signed on July 26, 1990.
Join us as we show pride in our identity, our resilience, our creativity, and our right to belong fully in our communities. All are welcome!
